On Happiness...

Happiness is not a matter of events,
it depends upon the tides of the mind.

Great post! Here's a silly little poem I wrote recently which, hopefully, "stresses" the same point about happiness!

Chicken in the barn,

Peckin' for some corn,

She don't give a darn,

If she sees another morn.

Chicken in the barn,

Rooster steals her meal,

She don't give a darn,

She's just peckin', happy, still!

Chicken in the barn,

Cacklin' and care-free,

She don't give a darn,

Why can't you and I so be!?…
